HIPPO-DÔME
The most recent creation by Manon fait de la danse will be presented in the new SATosphère, one of only a handfull of domed-shaped structures of its kind in the world. HIPPO-DÔME combines live dance and images of dance in an immersive digital sound environment. Out of this multi-sensory work emerges a tension specific to contemporary life, the life of the free individual well versed in communications technologies, yet bound inextricably to convention and social representation: at once human yet disembodied, a spectator and object of his or her own path or life. At the heart of this danced sensorium, the spectator’s perceptions are challenged by this carnal and virtual vision. This immersive experience includes a surprise sure to awaken the taste buds. A one-of-a-kind show that must be experienced first-hand.
