Description

Relentless pulses, synchronized energies. Both dynamic and meditative, My Fierce Ignorant Step creates an ecstatic soundscape where the contagious joy of being alive bursts forth.

Exploring unison and group cohesion, Greek choreographer Christos Papadopoulos electrifies audiences with works in which bodies move as a single organism, vibrating with intensity. At the forefront of the European dance scene, he captivates audiences with the precision of his ensemble pieces. My Fierce Ignorant Step draws its initial momentum from the sounds he remembers from his childhood in Greece.

Sound echoes, voices, and bodies come together like instruments. Gradually, the dance and musical score (by Kornilios Selamsis) build in intensity, carried by the performers’ breath and vocal impulses. Until collective euphoria takes over. Exhilarating!
