Call for artists:
COSMOS³ — Cooking performance
Seeking:
A dance artist +
with a love for cooking +
and the desire to cook/perform during a Danse-Cité event
We are actively preparing COSMOS³, our alternative presentation platform aimed at offering artists resources and dedicated creation time without relying on grant applications. For this third edition, invitations have been extended to artists Mara Dupas, Justin De Luna, and Priscilla Guy. Three evenings of public performances will conclude the creative immersion period. COSMOS³ is curated by Michael Martini and Sophie Corriveau.
At Danse-Cité, we enjoy pairing performance evenings with food. We have experienced how food brings people together — aromas and flavors stimulate the senses and make gatherings all the more enjoyable. Artists Nien Tzu Weng and Winnie Ho delighted audiences during previous editions. We are looking for artists interested in sharing a recipe with the public. A performative dimension is welcome, if desired.

Availability required:
April 23 — 3:00 PM (Dress rehearsal) & 7:00 PM
April 24 — 7:00 PM
April 25 — 6:00 PM
Creation of 1 savory recipe + 1 sweet recipe
Management of quantities and sourcing, in collaboration with the Danse-Cité team
Ability to work with minimal kitchen equipment (utensils, accessories, gadgets)
Cooking possible using a portable cooktop; 2 burners available on site
Danse-Cité offers:
An artist fee for each event;
Coverage of ingredient expenses;
Support for coordination and cooking.
